Hi Dad, Sarah, Andrew,

I had this random memory of going on a ride somewhere — I THINK it was the
back roads to Sugarloaf, but I could easily be mistaken — where there is a
big, old, tall stone wall holding up the side of the mountain, and spanning
the back yards of a few houses in a row. Does this ring a bell to anyone?
I just looked for it on Google Earth, but couldn’t really find anything.
I’m picturing it in the Glenmere area, but I could totally be making that
up.

Dad, have you seen these pictures yet (attached)?

xoxo
Bess

Yes, you are correct. It’s on Pine Hill Rd., between Glenmere Lake and
Sugar Loaf.

[…] What is Andrew holding? Pretend cabbage patch?

Love,
Dad

It’s on the old Glenmere property and was part of the gardeners/landscapers area. I believe the wall was a heat sink.

Commentary

  • Are you the Jan in the family? For some reason I always pictured you as an eldest child.

  • Really? That’s one of the nicest things anyone’s ever thought about me. Thank you. But OMG, yeah, I am totally Jan… in all the worst ways.

  • Wow, look at the expression on that faux Cabbage Patch Kid! That is absolutely evil-looking!

    Good stuff, Bess!

  • Liz! Future Would-Be Sister-In-Law, that self-same evil-faux Cabbage Patch Kid still exists and whiles away its time dormantly in your future would-be mother-in-law’s attic.
